We recommend the following:
1. Keep natural, unfinished cedar shoe trees in your shoes when not wearing to absorb moisture and smooth out wrinkles.
2. Leather and suede shoes can benefit from a good quality water and stain protector spray. Do not saturate with spray so that the leather looks wet, instead give 2 or 3 very light coats to the surface. Refresh periodically.
3. Patent leather shoes: Clean with a damp cloth or use a good quality proprietary patent leather spray.
4. Exotic Skins
Note: It is extremely important not to use products intended for mammal leather on exotic leather. The scales and skin of exotic leather are held together by membranes, and if the wrong product is used, it will greatly damage the leather. Products designed specifically for exotic leather should be the only products used for this leather type.
5. Keep your shoes clean and dust-free.
6. "Rotate" your shoe wardrobe. The leather must be allowed to completely dry out between wearing.
